How live cam sites work

Rooms, chat, tips, goals and private shows, step by step and without jargon.

The public room

Each model opens a room when she starts streaming. While she's live, anyone can go in and watch. In the show title she says what she's doing or what she has planned for that session: it's the text you see under each room's image.

The chat

Next to the video is the chat, where viewers write and the model replies live. It is the simplest way to ask her for something or just say hi. Many speak more than one language: each card on this site shows which ones.

Tips and goals

Tips are small amounts of tokens sent during the show. Many rooms have a goal: when the tips add up to a set amount, the model does what she promised in the title.

Private shows

If you want a show just for you, you can invite the model to a private show. It's usually charged per minute and the price shows up before it starts, so you know what you'll spend.

The four platforms

SugarCams, Chaturbate, BongaCams and LiveJasmin work the same way in the basics, but each has its own account, currency and prices. In our October 2026 measurements, Chaturbate had the most girls' rooms open, and SugarCams had the highest share of Spanish-speaking models.

How to choose a room

On this site you can filter by platform, country, language, age, hair, body or ethnicity, or go into a nationality or style category; English speakers come first. The number of viewers and the show title help you know what you'll find before you go in.
